ERDF North East Business Fund

The North East Business Support Fund (successor to the Leadership and Management Advisory Service) provides tailored support, including advice and funding for eligible SMEs and social enterprises that have potential for growth and are based in North East England.  Funded by ERDF, the service provides grant support giving businesses a fantastic opportunity to access specialist help, to develop the growth and profitability of their organisation.

If you employ less than 250 people, run a private sector company or social enterprise, undertake the majority of your business in the Business to Business arena and can show that you have aspirations for growth over the next three years, then you may be eligible for up to £1400 of funding support from the North East Business Support fund, matched by a contribution from your business.  To find out more about eligibility call 01670 813322 or complete the online application form.

Help the Hospices - Professional Development Grant Programme

A Professional and Career Development Loan could help you pay for learning that enhances your job skills or career prospects. It’s a bank loan, so you’ll have to pay it back once you’ve left your course. However, you don’t pay interest for the period when you’re in learning.

LANTRA

The Women and Work programme will support 500 women in male dominated industries to access training including leadership and management – e.g. business planning, people management, performance supervisory and team leader management.

The funding is restricted to women working in the following industries:
Agriculture, aquaculture, environmental conservation, farriery, fencing, fisheries management, game and wildlife, horticulture, landscaping and sports turf, production horticulture, land-based engineering and trees and timber.

The Skills Enhancement Fund

The Skills Enhancement Fund is co-financed by The Skills Funding Agency through the European Social Fund and funded by Yorkshire Forward.

The aim of The Skills Enhancement Fund is to engage employers in Yorkshire and Humber in skills development and increase the skills base within the region.  The Skills Enhancement Fund will therefore:

• Provide further interventions in skills and workforce development which cannot be funded through the Train to Gain service.
• Increase the numbers of employers undertaking structured learning and development leading to qualifications.
• Offer support to help develop Higher Level Skills.
• Provide a mechanism to drive and support a broader range of skills building on a demand-led approach.

Up to 50% of the training costs can be provided by The Skills Enhancement Fund where the eligibility criteria is met.
