As part of the BASIS Specialist Support Services (SSS) project PNE Development is offering fully funded Management qualifications to voluntary sector managers working in Tyne and Wear.

The available qualifications include:

• Level 3, 5 or 7 NVQ in Management accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), or,
• Level 3 and 5 VRQ in Management of Volunteers accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)

As part of the qualification you will have access to a range of management resources to keep you up-to-date with current practices, policies and systems that will support your role.

The qualifications are delivered in a flexible way to ensure that you achieve your qualification that best supports your development and fits with your work schedule.  You will receive expert guidance and support from a qualified management assessor.

Qualifications are completed through our online assessment system, oscar, enabling you to learn in your own time and at your own pace.  Assessment is carried out on your work-based evidence and through recorded telephone conversations with your assessor.  As well as using oscar, your assessor will visit you in the workplace.

The SSS Project 

The aim of the Specialist Support Services project is to coordinate and deliver services that will meet the needs of both frontline groups and the infrastructure bodies that support them in Tyne and Wear.  The services and activities to be delivered by partners fall under the following headings:
